Give him away no, but trade him most definitely. Big contract, not part of their future, if we’re willing to take his whole contract and dangle a first round pick (albeit low), I think there is a discussion to be had.

I like the Laine gamble but his risk is a double whammy — a string of physical injuries plus mental health illness

He doesn't have a mental illness, he's just a lazy fuck. It's fixable.

Montreal would be a tough place for him, perhaps. I mean, Suzuki is the “C” and takes a lot of the heat, but thus is such an intense market.

It’d be fine, he wouldn’t come here as a savior, so the expectations wouldn’t be overwhelming. And Montreal does have an appreciation for talent and some players are energized by it. Again low risk, but I wouldn’t offer the moon for him.

That had nothing to do with what city he was playing in. He'd have been booed anywhere the way he was going.

Lots of red flags that bothers me about Zegras. He fits the profile for age and skills but not sure about character. If cheap than maybe, but I wouldn’t overpay for him.

Realize I'm super late on this one but he seems to be a player that his name is bigger than his talent so he will be overvalued.

And unless it is an overpay I'm not sure why he'd be traded.

So I'd pass.
