Apparently Verbeek let it be known this week he’s looking for 2 big + physical elements:Guessing Anaheim would want Xhekaj in any deal involving Zegras. They want to be the big mean Ducks of 07.
Based on Basu / Godin podcast assumption seems correct - Verbeek is looking for right shot little ball of hate type players not Rollerina’sIt seems that Verbeek would prefer Struble over Harris.
FYI, latest Arpon Basu and M.A. Godin notebook on potential Dach and Newhook deals - they think Zegras is exactly who HuGo have zeroed in on.
The offer they were spitballing was Mailloux + Anderson + Winnipeg pick.

I'd give them Struble bit not Xhekaj.Based on Basu / Godin podcast assumption seems correct - Verbeek is looking for right shot little ball of hate type players not Rollerina’s
Which I think we do, hence worth the risk. Doesn’t pan out, move on.It's what Florida did, collected struggling high firsts, now look.
Need the right coach and front office though.
You obviously meant put Dach in between Zegras & Stamkos while Demigod cultivates w the babushka’sAlrighty then. Put Zegras and Lindstrom on Dach’s line.
No I think we should start Celibrini on the second line with Dach as a winger. You obviously meant put Dach in between Zegras & Stamkos while Demigod cultivates w the babushka’s
Laine couldn't be any worse a gamble than Gomez was or than Dubois would have been. As long as he's not got a ton of term left I'd take a chance on MSL being able to wring something good out of him. This got me thinking though, I don’t think I’d be one bit opposed to a Laine vs Win pick deal. Big gamble but we can absorb his contract, it’s a 2 years gamble, still world class talent, for a low 1st, I take the chance.
Yep, but the overall risk is low (2 years), and in the odd chance that he’s rejuvenated in a new environment, the reward could be massive.I like the Laine gamble but his risk is a double whammy — a string of physical injuries plus mental health illness
CBJ has no reason to just “give Laine away”…. but do like the ideaYep, but the overall risk is low (2 years), and in the odd chance that he’s rejuvenated in a new environment, the reward could be massive.
