If HuGo play it correctly there should be no need to go high inflation UFA route to sign talent - so cap management over next 5-years really shouldn’t be a big deal w most of the core already / about to be signed at pre high cap inflation $$

There is never a good option to go high inflation in UFA , most of your mistakes are made that way
 
If they expand to Atlanta again they aren't doing it for any good, hockey-related reason, which means it will fail again.

I get how they want Atlanta because of the size of the television market but no one in Atlanta gives a fuck about hockey. Never did, never will. Besides which, television isn't what it used to be in terms of generating revenue. People don't watch sports on local TV anymore. Everything is a stream on a specialty channel and it doesn't matter where on the planet you happen to be while you stream it. Having a "local" team doesn't really matter in terms of content provisioning. And if no one local cares, you won't sell tickets anyway so forget about gate receipts.

Assuming that the NHL will never expand in Canada again, the frontrunner should be Houston, Milwaukee, Portland Oregon, Cleveland, and, for old time's sake, Hartford. Atlanta is a dog with fleas.

Hugo is in perfect cap shape moving forward if they dont go ape stupid like Nero did on contracts

Our core should settle in nicely with everyone locked up under 8 mil and we have time before we deal with Hage and Demigod
 
2 teams in Florida is enough.

32 teams in the league is also plenty.

If the NFL has 32 teams and NBA and MLB have 30 teams, then the NHL doesn't need more than 32.
