I would do a 60/40 or even 55/45 Monty-Dobes split. Monty has done nothing to earn 80% or more of the starts.

Monty has been better lately, the team doesn't have the luxury to gamble.

I think that was the theory when they split the western travel, but while he can't be fault for the loss in Calgary, he lost both games.

I think they're going to rid Monty and Dobes will get 3 games unless Monty falters. Hurricane, Preds and Leafs.

I think Monty wins the Seattle game. I agree that Calgary was on the team. Giving up only one isn't why they lost.

I also think they will play Monty 3 out of 4 games but I am concerned about fatigue.

The last 2 years, being healthy, haven't been terrible. 16 goals last year, 15 so far this year. Ignoring his salary, that's decent production for a 3rd/4th liner.

I guess you missed the very explicit part of my post saying "ignoring his salary". We all know that Gallagher and Anderson are overpaid, but if they're actually contributing, it eases the pain a bit. It's not like we're starving for cap space.

Looking at it further, Dvorak has spend 14 seconds in OT per OT games. It's a non issue.
