I’m not as confident in DR and LM. If we can land a stud RHD, it would be huge. Or just a solid top 4. If not as interested in stopgaps.

Could be true , prospects are worth more now than a few years into the league and not showing much

I said nothing about bad contracts but there is no way Guhle and Struble will be our two most experienced defensemen in two years. We will get some experience, a guy that can play 22+ minutes in a top 4 role, likely next summer.

Situation was less than ideal for his development and by most accounts there was little growth in his game while in Europe.

I don't think so, managements are evaluated on their overall body of work, not just one draft decision. Plus they can't foresee an injury. And it's apparently clear that there is a huge organizational need for a top 4 RHD.

There’s no reason to believe Redenbacher can’t - he was Laval’s best Dman at end of last season as a 19yr old

But he’ll never bring “bling” which seems to be what all these Michkov lovers are seeking …
