I’m not as confident in DR and LM. If we can land a stud RHD, it would be huge. Or just a solid top 4. If not as interested in stopgaps.Just need a stop gap until DR and LM are fully ready

Could be true , prospects are worth more now than a few years into the league and not showing muchI’m not as confident in DR and LM. If we can land a stud RHD, it would be huge. Or just a solid top 4. If not as interested in stopgaps.
I said nothing about bad contracts but there is no way Guhle and Struble will be our two most experienced defensemen in two years. We will get some experience, a guy that can play 22+ minutes in a top 4 role, likely next summer.I dont want any more bad contracts on the cap
Maybe move MM for a decent D with term +++
There are no stud RHS prospects-players teams are willing to move
2 lost seasons is going to be a problem.Apparently DR is legit, but he’s been unlucky. LM is TBD.

He played last year.
Badly
Situation was less than ideal for his development and by most accounts there was little growth in his game while in Europe. He played last year.
Compounded with passing on Michkov, it will probably eventually be the major factor in management losing their jobs. Its that big.2 lost seasons is going to be a problem.
I don't think so, managements are evaluated on their overall body of work, not just one draft decision. Plus they can't foresee an injury. And it's apparently clear that there is a huge organizational need for a top 4 RHD.Compounded with passing on Michkov, it will probably eventually be the major factor in management losing their jobs. I'm hoping this response (not mine) to represent the eventual outcome.

There’s no reason to believe Redenbacher can’t - he was Laval’s best Dman at end of last season as a 19yr oldWhen his rehab. is completed, Orville needs to step up as well, majorly.
