Apparently the negotiations are "on the 5 yard line". Let's just hope that the quarterback isn't Dak Prescott or this drive will result in a missed field goal attempt.

No, that's one of your two major misconceptions about what the media is for. The other is your belief that the media should act as unpaid team shills.

If Todd and Hickey are being positive it's because that is what the reality is. If that reality changes, they will report it and you will criticize them for being "negative".
 
So at this time last year, everybody was trying to guess how many points Hutson would get in his rookie year. I thought around 30-35 , which like most others was a vast underestimation. So what about Demidov? I think 40 points would not be bad.

I crave reality. I despise "house" media types who's only function is to lick the home team's collective taint. If my team is garbage stop telling me that what Im smelling is a bouquet of roses. Problems cannot be fixed if they arent there acknowledged. Journalists are supposed to hold people's feet to the fire. Only through this ruthless criticism can anything get done. When a team has a fawning local media that always rationalizes or apologizes for their failure, you wind up with the Leafs and a 60 year drought.

Tell the truth, even if it's bad. Especially if it's bad.
 
He was a point per game player as a kid in a tough Swedish league. It might take a while but he’ll be a productive middle of the lineup player for us
