Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Presto's take:

Thumb doesn't have to know that they're being investigated. That's not suspicious for me. This is more than likely a real thing. My question is why was this leaked? No one cares about this outside of a few freaks who trade OTC stocks. Based on the article the allegations are pretty freaking vanilla but of course it's possible there's more. Just have to hope they don't dig too much because in the early days there was almost certainly some illegal activity going on.

Too bad. This was the one weed company that had a beautiful red flag-free track record. Now they've all got some skeletons in their closet.

I bot MSOS at 38.90......but will get rid of it if lows are breached.....also bot calls in SBUX and APPN

I nibbled more Thumb at 31.40 fully expecting it to test $30. Maybe it still happens. We'll see. Seems like there were a lot of big prints coming in near lows today. Could be profit taking at some point especially with the broad market looking weak.

Out at 33.75

Trulieve dumping as much as Thumb. Did someone remember that Kim Rivers' husband is soon to be on trial for something very similar to what Ben Kovler is accused of?

feeling super bearish...but I faded myself and went long ES3937 as the bears don't seem to have enough growl to kill this thing under 3940 at the moment

Cresco would need to drop another ~5% from here for my BWEL shares to be worth the 94c that they are currently priced at. It probably happens tbh but I'll keep nibbling away happily.

Obviously, I'm super bullish on MSOs...but I still try to find the bear case in all my long positions (and vice versa) and the only bear case with US weed that I ever found was a paranoid black swan situation where the big boys (Pharma, Alcohol) would want to compromise existing licenses because they do not want to pay big $$$$ to acquire them.

No doubt lots can go wrong. It's why I don't love Todd comparing the valuations to traditional CPG companies outside of the sector. There's gotta be a lot of uncertainty priced into these names longterm.
