Hey Nerds: Blockchain

I'm still a bit doubtful federal legalization would pass. It'll probably get voted on but I don't think they have the votes. Which is great for MSOs.

I think SAFE banking will provide a pretty good clue on that. I suspect the Senate vote will be a lot closer than most think. If that one barely scrapes by full on federal legalization doesn't have a chance in hell.

IMO, I think they will decriminalize it federally....and then it's up to the States if they want adult use or not.

so MSOS recovered all of yesterday's slide PLUS $1

what sadness for anyone who panicked sold yday

Just an outstanding day. I picked up extra Thumb shares yesterday near close but I truly believed this would be a 2-3 day event as is usually the case with these bad news events. But I suppose not a single soul buys the article anymore. That + NY legalization + Nazzy blasting = big dick bounce on these growth stonks.

Thumb of course has not yet mowed through all of yesterdays losses. Maybe it happens but it doesn't have to if there's any slight uncertainty out there.

that's fine...even though it's my secondo largest holding, it prob deserves more time in the sinbin....

I added to my #1 yesterday, TRUL, and will prob sell those xtra shares soon

I was able to add to my Bluma this morning at 95c. Arbitrage was ideal at the time and it shot up real quick. Got a nice position going on them.

Thumb has the most short-term upside for me (relatively speaking they're the best value of the big boys with ease right now) but the dark cloud will probably loom until they're officially cleared.

nice job with BLUMs...I rented TER this am -- pretty much straight up since. sold it, now back to normal size on it

all this action really underscores (for me anyway) the value of having a nice cash position at all times in the LT folio... such an advantage when exploiting short term price dislocations

It's like I have another trading account within my RSP (since Feb)...which I actually keep track of separately and so far the results have been great

Of course it's hard to know how long it was going to take for things to bounce even as hard as we've seen today. When Trulieve got hit it took a long time and they never really recovered in the end.. They ended up going back down to well below the short levels during the Covid dip. When Aphria got hit it took a month or two I believe.

But having a cash position allows you to not really care that much. I have a lot more bullets in my chamber but tbh I'm glad I didn't have to use them due to emotional capital reasons. I used what I needed to use yesterday and at this stage all I need is Thumb to go back to last Tuesdays levels to get back to ATH in my folio (and at those levels they were 22% from all-time highs). Nazzy busting through 325 may just be enough to kickstart a return to the mindless bull market. That's when the comfort level comes back for me. Long way to go of course. It's a positive day but we've seen plenty like this in the past little bit.

Well... It's looking like we're about to erase yesterday. My folio is already ahead of where it was 2 days ago. Fucking crazy after such a dark Tuesday.

Yeah...my folio is quite a bit higher than it was a few days ago...I keep hitting F5 to make sure

The Tribune article was seemingly just word salad

Columbia being up 20% helps
I always laugh when Todd calls them Choo Choo. What a fucking psychopath.

Btw today is one of the all-time best Presto stonk gain days. It would have been better if I took yesterday off but I can't complain that I got to add Thumb in the 31s. That was very kind of the Chicago Tribune. Picked a brutal time to go almost all in on Thumb (literally right before the fucking article) but it is what it is. All is well today.

It annoys me that it went down, it annoys me that I didn't buy more MSOS at least, and it annoys me that it went up.

Generally annoyed. Being a long who doesn't make many moves really sucks during times like this.

It frustrates me to even open this thread the last month or so.

HAHA just noticed that GTII closed higher than what I paid for it in one of my most ill timed stock purchases ever
