Hey Nerds: Blockchain

I'm in calls for BA and AMKR...in the green and I now have a tight stop

BA finally paid me...after making me seasick. Still holding a runner.

AMKR nice grind up; firmly green and took some profits.

“We estimate that the net proceeds from this offering will be approximately $191.0 million, or approximately $219.8 million if the underwriters exercise in full their over-allotment option.”

We knew they were due to raise. Only major MSO that hasn't done so yet in 2021. Might be worth re-starting a position on them soon. That's nicccccccce for some major PA expansion. They would be ecstatic to see PA legalize recreationally. It's already a great market that would get much better.

"Preston, you should read the “Risk Factors” section and other information included in this prospectus for a discussion of factors to consider carefully before deciding to invest in our Subordinate Voting Shares."

Probably gonna be too risky to take on more debt until 280e is removed. Trulieve would pull in potentially at least $300-500m from Operational Cash Flow per year with the removal of the 280e. Right now they're on track for $125-150m at current rates. Such a fucking insane difference. It's god damn predatory.

It's coming though. And that's when the Thumb's and Trulieve's have far less of a need to dilute. If they really need cash, they can take on debt. But otherwise they'll be raising cash just from operations to the tune of several hundred million dollars per year. It's a nice spot to be in for those two companies. I worry a bit about Curaleaf in terms of their lack of profitability and high debt but that's a high risk/high reward business model there. Could pay off bigly. 280e removal would be game changing for them too.

Oh baby. Planet 13 just announced earnings and they added this little tidbit:

Good sign for AYR in particular and a couple others that are in Nevada. C21 might be happy too! Thumb as well!

We saw something similar for March in Illinois as they track out of state buyers. They had a notable uptick for March. Tourism is slowly coming back and weed tourism is definitely a thing!

yeah...and TRUL is predictably heavy (post offering) and AYR sucks too

but nice action in TER and GRAM, so LT folio is holding up. (big thanks to ROKU)

I get the emails but you have to be American to participate..... this was a crazy return in a few days (66%)

MSOS is down 13 cents....when did pot stocks become so boring???

I blame Presto -- in hindsight his CSE trading was responsible for moving the entire market.

Nothing to do in this sector until he re-activates.

I think ME exiting his position the other day caused this more than anything. But yeah... I like seeing low volume consolidation. Frustrating to see the broad market blast, risk stocks blast and weed kinda on the backburner.. But as long as the broady keeps surging I think weed is the laggard play as per usual. Who knows about the timing of course. Plus we've got some nice catalysts coming up + Q1 earnings in May, however underwhelming they may be.

TLDR: It's a good time for Presto to take a break. The last 6 months have been draining.

Oh Vext had nice news. Did what they needed to do. Non dilutive transactions to increase their cultivation capacity in Arizona. They raised a shit ton of cash.. Way more than they really needed based on their profitability and lack of expenses. So all cash deals were to be expected! They are probably selling everything they can grow in the AZ market so it makes sense to simply grow more and increase that wholesale presence! Does nothing but adds to their revenues at the end of the day.
