Hey Nerds: Blockchain

might be guilty of being too cute on a Friday, but went long SPY this am for an oversold bounce action

In fairness to LOF, he chooses individual companies as opposed to a broad market ETF. So there is quite a bit more risk to his strategy for sure. I get why there's anxiety there. Since I locked in my gains I've pivoted entirely to a boring boomer approach. I know full well that I got lucky in a once in a lifetime perfect storm scenario. It wasn't sustainable in the slightest.

I still follow it but mostly as an observer out of interest. I don't care much about what happens in the day to day. The buying of my boring shit will simply get more aggressive the harder we fall but outside of that, nothing really changes.

Two Wealthsimple managed accounts (RRSP and LIRA)
TFSA (AAPL, CSCO, GOOG, MSFT) with DRIP

I rebalance the TFSA when needed and throw some extra $ there when the drops if I have some. Trimmed a bit early in the year to add CSCO to the portfolio as it was just AAPL/GOOG/MSFT at the time. I sleep pretty easy.

I told my buddy that the NVDA earnings were nothin but a trap. He was blowing them up as if it was the most important event in stock market history. Crazy out of control growth and all but at the end of the day if the stock market is gonna dump it's not gonna change it's mind because a single corporation did very well.

JPow tomorrow heading into a seasonally shit month. Part of me doesn't mind a nice flush. Much of tech still feels quite bloated to me so I'd feel more comfortable if that corrected. But if not that's ok too, my strategy doesn't change.

the fall a year before US Elections tends to be a volatile period....

NVDA earnings were great for them but also showed other AI chip stocks are clearly second rate -- AMD down 7% on the day
