Hey Nerds: Blockchain

The real ticket is additional language included in the bill that would make the NYSE or Nasdaq more likely to allow for uplists.

That. That's the ticket folks.

He sounds hot.

So a buddy of mine at street hockey just now said he's all in on a company called Lightspeed. LSPD. Heard of it?

There’s a place called Kokomo.

That’s where you want to go.

Saw a post on reddit the other day- fair warning, didn't fact check it. But it said if you put the first stimulus check into bitcoin when you got it ($1200), it would be worth just shy of $10k today.

I'm trying to free up as much $$ as I can right now before the next round of stimulus comes in. I want to put more into bitcoin before people start dumping their stimulus checks into it and push it even further. Could be wrong, just a feeling.

That said I've out a decent chunk of change into crypto in the last little bit. did some research and found 4 or so coins to invest in. Lots of interesting projects out there. I think I've picked some winners, but time will tell.

Here are the 2 alt coins I am big on.

Vechain (VET) is a supply chain management project. I think they just went live with a marijuana producer (puffbar), allowing users to use their blockchain to check that their vape pens are authentic (as they've had problems with counterfeits). They have pilot projects with BMW and Walmart China, to name a few ofhdrs. They also have a fuel token called VTHOR, which I think is a little undervalued right now. The VET is priced at around 7 cents a coin right now and has some decent potential for growth. VTHOR is at around .7 cents per coin.

Cardano (ADA) is a coin that I've got about 50% if my crypto portfolio tied up in. It was created by one of the co-founders of ethereum (Charles Hoskinson). Effectively, it is supposed to be a more efficient and inclusive version of Ethereum. It may be a name that you start hearing more in the main stream soon. It's really shot back up in the last month, (was at .45 Jan 21). Currently sitting at around $1.4-1.5, close to it's ATH. Most of this spike is speculation and hype at this point, but there are a lot of major announcements and updates coming in the next few months that could push this coin even further. This project has really taken its time and worked to solve a lot of the issues that Ethereum is currently seeing (high gas fees, scalability problems etc), so that when their mainnet they call it goguen), goes live this year they are ready to really compete with Eth. This coins market cap is currently between 35-40 billion $US (the rest of my $ figures have been in $CAD), so if this starts catching up with Ethereums market cap it could push to a $7-10 coin.

If these coins sound interesting, the easiest place to get more info on them is probably their sub reddits. R/cardano and r/vechain.

One market that we continue to expect to see a lot of M&A activity is California. First, some large MSOs are not yet in the market in a meaningful way. We continue to expect a major move by Curaleaf. Even beyond the large MSOs, there are many small operators, and we are already seeing companies begin to pursue a roll-up strategy in California. Beyond California, we are expecting MSOs to use M&A to enter new states and to go deeper in existing markets, where permissible.

2021 feels like the year of California. Such a huge huge market even though it's not quite the best environment for these operators yet as it's not a limited license setup and the black market still runs rampant there. You can't argue with size and with scale it is likely to be a very fucking worthwhile move longer term. As with everything else in life, if you're big deal in California you're probably going to be a big deal elsewhere too.

And all I'm saying is that as these operators continue to look towards a cpg/brand oriented future and have said straight up that they will not be growers in the long run... Well who has better brand power than Jay Z? This is not investment advice + this is a very speculative argument that I'm making here.

/Position Jay Z

In any event, much like the setup was flawless in November when MSOs reported earnings as Biden casually took the presidency, we may see a similar perfect storm in March.

SAFE + additional language (removal of 280e and uplist friendly language?) + earnings. Yes. That. I want that. Broad market holding strong would have to be a thing as well to make it complete perfection.
