Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Yeah I had none before today. Already trimmed some at 8.28 and shifted it into AYR at 40.60.

And now Thumb is under $40. Kind of a meh day from US cannabis considering the big dick strength on the broadies.
Trimmed that AYR, 42.90. Still have two thirds.

I was heavy on Curaleaf and still am. Didn't really consider trimming but I admit I thought their quarter would look better than this. Margins got worse too but with them integrating Grassroots I kinda expected that.

But I mean... They're still cheap compared to every other sector!

The thing I hate about Curaleaf is that they're over-promisers, and way more pumpy than the others. Always under-promise, fellas. Their own guidance was 250m. If it wasn't for that this probably wouldn't even look as bad. Plus... I change my mind. It's not a "big" miss. Just a miss.

this might overshadow the numbers

I think it's why they announced the acquisition before market close. Not a fan of that either. But it probably will cushion the blow. Hearing from some that they got a steal on that acquisition but that's unconfirmed. I'll reserve judgment on that.

These mother fuckers are aggressive eh. Still so much growth left in the US and they're like fuck it.. Let's build a global fucking brand. Huge aspirations. Bloated stock becomes even more bloated. But it just may fucking work.

First mover advantage to create some separation. Let's face it...the sector is all uncharted territory. It's why I have a piece in each of the big 4.

Yup, they've clearly separated themselves from the others with a truly unique strategy of going balls to the fucking wall. No clue if it'll work but as you said.. that's why you hold a piece of them all.

I'm not about to start learning about the Portuguese weed market. Reading the Idaho Times is enough... But I don't speak Portuguese, folks.

If Scott says this is smart then that's good enough for me. Curious to hear what BoJo says on the call.

Guidance will be interesting too.. Remember, they'll have almost a full quarter of AZ rec legal weed in their Q1 earnings. Should be far more growth there.

My mind is racing because all of this came on a day where I held more Curaleaf than I ever have in my life.

Portugal is just a window to the rest of the Euros.

Yeah, the issue is how fucking slowly Europe has moved on the weed front. They still don't allow exports to other nations in Europe. They will.. But when? And will they be burning money in the meantime? Pretty sure a bunch of LPs already shut down operations in Portugal because they were just burning money. But I guess being profitable/cash flow positive-ish (will have to see the financial statements to confirm that) gives them the ability to absorb any potential burn because first movers matter!

I have roasted the fuck out of Tilray for banking so much on Europe. What a plot twist it would be if it's actually a viable plan.
