Hey nerds: Your streaming rigs

You will thank me for this...

Note: If you do not see Developer Options, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About.
Now, select Fire TV Stick and click it 7 times to enable Developer Options. If you’re still not sure how to do it, here’s a step-by-step guide to enable developer options

Also, the Silk Web Browser is great for streaming from websites like:

Always go to the second monitor, not the one advertising 4K
Worked fine on mine but my parents couldn't find "developer" anywhere. Figured it was an old person thing but then I went over and had to spend a little bit searching the internet to find the above solution. Sneaky fucks hiding it

Nvidia Shield and hardwire it instead of using wifi. Much smoother than the firesticks I have but also a decent amount more money.
Yep hard wired ethernet is mandatory for me. Flawless. Wifi ok on shield but some annoyingly ill times buffering had me installing cable.

And the shield can play any emulator out there with incredible results. My tv box has practically every arcade game in history loaded up ready to go.

So for dummies. What do I use that will give me ALL the streaming services for less than cable so I can cut the cord. Does this exist? I have Netflix and prime and Apple TV and Disney. I just can’t lose some of the channels provided by cable like History for example. They have to be on one of the services. It’s just so spendy to get them all separately.

A lot of networks you can stream their shows online even. But it really depends what you want out if the channel. Is it a specific show, or do you just like that type of programming? If it's just the type of show and you want docu-series, then you can get a lot of similar content on like Nebula/CuriosityStream.

But yeah, if you want all the services, you're probably paying the same rate as cable. Especially once you add in a couple sports streaming packages too. My plan is basically not to stay subscribed to all of them always. Pick a month, sign in to Prime, watch everything you can on there, next month take a different provider. If you rotate through you only pay for 1 or 2 at a time, and not all 4 or 5 or whatever.

100% legal bundling? Or willing to look at IPTV?

You need a streaming device. Firesticks start at about 30 bucks. ( They go on sale often). You need to”jailbreak” the firestick to allow third party apps. This is easier than it sounds (really). Next you download IPTV Smarters. Which is the app that you need. Finally you pick a IPTV
provider. I use one that allows up to 5 simultaneous connections which is useful because I have 3 Firesticks.

iptvozone. Google it You can use PayPal for payment. They do have a website.

I tested it for a month and was happy enough to sign up

A Firestick also has a good web browser that allows web streaming content for free.

Same, this simply hasn’t been a priority for several years. But that might change a little, so this thread is interesting.
We just got cut off of Mrs Wayward’s family’s Netflix, so we now have access to zero streaming services. May stick with the no subscriptions model and see where it takes us. May also be able to access my parents’ CraveTV
