Hey nerds: Your streaming rigs

Up and running iptv on the firestick. Thanks folks.

Question - I see the iptv smarters app will let you add a vpn but I have no idea how to do this. Am I better off just running the NordVPN app on the firstick before I use IPTV? Or should I be using the setting VPN on this Smarters app.
I just have Nord set up on the Firestick to automatically connect when I turn it on. Haven't tried through Smarters.

I ran into an issue last night, when a clear TSN 4 signal dropped after the first period because my IP is out of the GTA.
I will look into vpn.

This happened to me. My stream was fine one day then it wouldn't work at all the next day, then fine again. I contacted support and they said it was a VPN issue and the guy said he'd set me up so I could use any location. Seems to be fine now. I'm not sure if that's something I could have done myself or not.

how much was the vpn?

What IPTV Service is everyone using and are you happy with it? Feel free to PM me. I'm trying IPTV Ozone currently but having quite a few issues (EPG not loading, can't watch any of the on demand stuff etc.). I submitted a support ticket and they just cancelled my paypal payment with no response.

"Show TV Plus"

I still have disney+ and prime (mainly mainly deliveries) so the on demand shows I don't utilize much and the selection appears to be less than others but overall the service is good. $15 a month for 3 streams at a time, every channel I could think of watching, all sports and PPV as well as a ton of movies.

Is it the best option? Probably not but it is way better than the cable I was using before.

TSN is routinely a headache for me. I either a) use the Standard Def feed, or b) switch over to the US NHL feed.

There are extra steps, but doable. ( My Roku is part of the TV so it was hard to do, it kept switching off developer options.)
See if you can activate developer options first. ( it doesn't harm your Roku)

Enable Developer Options on Roku

1. Launch your Roku by switching to its HDMI input on your television.

2. Grab your Roku remote and press the following buttons in this order: Home Button x3, Up Arrow x2, Right Arrow x1, Left Arrow x1, Right Arrow x1, Left Arrow x1, Right Arrow x1.

3. If done correctly, the developer options menu will appear on your Roku TV screen.

I'm thinking Roku lacks enough on board memory to be useful for iptv. I jail broke mine and it just keeps crashing whenever I try to use iptv player.

What stick or device do you suggest that has enough memory? I think it’s time to just do it but want to get something that’s as hassle free as possible as obviously I’m not really tech savvy.
