Not really. We’ll still be in a playoff spot at the end of the night, regardless. But yeah, better to get points.Islanders got a point. We need to keep pace.
I expect us to get at least 17-18 on our own.I figure each team around us will lose 8-10 points. We probably need 15 points of our own.
They don't work that wayThe magic number is going in reverse tonight.

8-4-1 gets you 17. Very doable. After this week we have a relatively “easy” schedule.I’m skeptical, but admittedly glass-half-empty by nature. 17 points would be huge.
They’ll win both against Philly, one against Florida, Nashville, Boston, Chicago, and the last game against Carolina if it’s a must win (game will be meaningless for Carolina). That’s already 7 wins, and then at least one more “not expected” one. And not all of their losses will be regulation losses.Krusty isn’t wrong though, our SOS (according to Tankathon) is considerably easier than that of the fishstix and easier than all our rivals fur the 8th spot. But, some opponents with so-so records (e.g. Blues) are in the heat of their playoff push and are hot. Overall record isn’t a reflection of recent play (hello, NJD.)
Anyway, they gotta deliver. I’m mindful of Pittsburgh missing the playoffs against a disastrously bad Blackhawks team a couple of years ago. The number of games is getting small, so a random shit game can have huge consequences.
