Ivan Demidov - Montreal Canadien

Wonder if there’s a certain price point at which SKA would agree to release Demigod from his contract immediately to sign w Habs if Laine is out for the season?
 
Doubt it. But I don't think Demidov's going to be playing sub-10 minute games for all that much longer. He's the team's second leading scorer.

even Michkov didn’t see ice with SKA in his post draft year, so they loaned him to another team after 1 game
 
Laine was injured Sept. 28, and while Demidov was only playing about 12-14 minutes a game before then, his TOI was reduced significantly starting in his game on Sept. 29 and has only gotten worse since then. I smell a (Russian) rat.
 
Hopefully the last two euro experiences we have had with 1st round choices will stop the future argument of "let him go back to Europe to develop properly"
