Kassian reinstated by NHL/NHLPA, what's next?

We have a need for grit, and players who play in traffic right now and that need will get bigger and bigger as the season goes on.

The fact Kassian plays a style we lack probably gives him a shot

I agree but who knows what was said previously....it's possible Bergy told Kassian when he got him "We know you ****ed up a bunch of times. This is your chance to start over. Don't mess it up"

Seems to ridiculous to you but you are far more "touchy/feely" than most, and I'm not saying that as a bad thing. MB is more of the Alpha male type.

If he clears waivers, he can play himself back onto the Habs. No harm in seeing how he does. Hopefully he gives us another physical option down the stretch.

Kassian's troubles were known for a while. MB was "touchy/feely" enough to give him a shot. Given the return the Canucks received, most GMs were not interested in giving Kassian another chance.

No offence taken. I'm happy to be a sensitive type.

That said, I actually think it's ridiculous from an asset management standpoint. We need size, grit and a RW... dude is the trifecta. May as well see if he can play for us.
