Doubt anyone claims kassian. The issue is hes not in game shape. So he needs more than a 10 day conditioning stint . So montreal had to waive him to go to minors for a long term stint.

Anyone who claims him would have to keep him in the nhl so he will never get to game speed that way

I could only foresee a team like Yotes taking a chance, hoping to quickly turn him into an asset for deadline day, but even that's a real stretch for a team with a self imposed cap...
