It seems Houle will remain as coach

Not at all surprising, Hughes handed over his summer camp to Houle 25-years ago to run, and JF was a student at that same camp 10-years prior.

There’s a long standing relationship… those who were going to get moved out of the org already have

So basically the players who were already good and on track to become credible NHL pros regardless of who was coaching. Houle had no hand in their development other than penciling their names into a lineup card.

So essentially coaches are completely useless, it's purely on the player whether they make it or not?

Not "coaches" in general, just coaches named "Houle" in particular.

There are 2 levels of coaching

Apprenticeship in the minors then working with MSL to produce a final product

He trusted Logan early on with his defensive lapses and kept playing him

Game improved big time at the end of the season

No. I'm being generous. Too early to call anyone that hasn't played regularly in the NHL a success and attribute that to Houle.

Sure. But all I was judging was last season. Mixed results.
Roy, LM, Wifi, Barron all seemed to improve while kidney sucked.

How much is just about the player I have no idea.
