mmm Kyle Chipchura, and Andrei Bustitsyn might be the exceptions that prove the rulei would say the Habs have historically took almost all their 1st round risks with unskilled big guys -- see 1980s/1990s/ and McCarron

Agreed but the majority of skilled small finesse forward types have a floor of never playing in the league and are mainly busti would say the Habs have historically took almost all their 1st round risks with unskilled big guys -- see 1980s/1990s/ and McCarron

he wasn't unskilled, he tore his achilles, there is a difference???
Chipchura was an unskilled big guy. Koivu was an exception, then Caufield and Mesar. Everyone else (1st rounders) were at least 6’0.
He was a 6’2 grinder. Ceiling was 3rd line center if everything went perfect.he wasn't unskilled, he tore his achilles, there is a difference
Seems the opposite to mejust saying in general GM`s take risks on midgets and bypass others
there are 10x more finesse small guys than a Cuylle or KniesSeems the opposite to me
I'll answer your pre goal post moving theory in more detail.there are 10x more finesse small guys than a Cuylle or Knies
These big dudes like Cuylle are not going in the lotteryI'll answer your pre goal post moving theory in more detail.
The risk that GMs take on small players is later in the draft. The real risk is when you take a guy early because of size.
It's why caufield was available at 15 for us instead of a top 5 pick. Hutson in the third, etc.
Knies was a 2021 drafted guy. Covid effected the draft. A redraft would be hilarious now. These big dudes like Cuylle are not going in the lottery
CC was a top goal scorer heading in his draft year legit NHL top 6
There are way more Mesar flops , rather take that Knies guy 7 days a week
Knies was supposed to go in1st round & bombed his draft yearKnies was a 2021 drafted guy. Covid effected the draft. A redraft would be hilarious now.
That said look at the risk the sens took at 10th overall...

Only players on entry-level contracts can be sent down to the Lions without their say-so.How can a team be affiliated with the Habs and Rocket yet have no players who are Habs property?
