Hedman makes 4 mill/year so IF this deal were legit it would have to be Kadri plus say Franson

Hedman is a monster in size, and it has taken him some time to develop, but you'd have him for 4 years locked up. But Tampa has spent all this time to develop him and they are finally paying off defensively. I don't see it.

The Leafs will only trade Kadri for the right part...and at this point the ONLY team interested and with that part is San Jose. A source claims there is "Big Interest there" while another added just now..."Could move quicker than expected."

I probably would. I think we'd be within our rights to ask for an additional small piece back, but I don't think the Sharks would do the deal regardless.

Personally I wouldn't. If were going to trade Kadri lets use him as a blue chip to address a key need on this team and that would be adding a #2 defencmen a guy who can play 25ish mins a night in all situations to help take the pressure off of Dion and allow Gunnar to slide down to the #4-5 role, if were going to do a sideways trade may as well just keep him.
