Clarkson can score and is bigger and better physically. He's also the Mimico kid who is dying to play for the Leafs.

With respect to the bolded, Seguin is apparently a noted meathead. Some of the stories I've heard about him and his "Brampton crew" are questionable to say the least. Stereotypical entitled job syndrome.

The Leafs have to do everything humanly possible to sign Vinny. Overpay bigtime.

I would love to see Vinny in a leafs uniform but IMO no way should we "overpay bigtime" for him, lets get real here while he still has some gas left in the tank his best days are long behind him. I'd offer him tops a 2 year/8M deal, thats it if he doesn't like it he can go scratch.

Man it would be so awesome if Vinny signed with the Leafs. Don't see it happening, but it would be great.

If thats true, then its an absurd overpayment for a guy who has only once cracked 30 goals and 50 pts, he realistically should be making no more then $3M, but of course the leafs will overpay to get this guy.

Didnt he say years ago he wanted to be with the Habs? I know they are on his list of teams supposedly but they are pretty deep at centre currently.
