Leaf Rumours

I'm not positive that Horton, Clowe, Clarkson get closer to 6 each or 4 each...but I suspect they will all be very close to each other....at whatever number that is.

I don't think anyone is going to fly under a radar...Clowe might get less years, cause of the wear on him....but I think the dollars will be close.

Brendan Morrow could be the bargain of the "power forward" bin
 
If the bidding war on Horton, Clowe, Clarkson gets crazy .... maybe the Leafs can look at signing Iggy for a short term deal?

For the record, Iggy and Dion were on the same page, it was Regehr that clashed with Dion.

Iggy had a terrible season and a terrible playoff, but old man didn't get into his groove after missing the regular pre-season ... the 36 year old is just 1 season removed from a 32G season though, and he was still highly effective when he was 35. I am not sure if he wants to play for Toronto or preferably a contender (Boston maybe?? LOL) but I see Iggy as a good plan C on a 1 year deal.

It's the right thing to do, but I don't REALLY feel so good about a Garbo - Kadri 1-2 punch.

I just don't see how things are going to work out cap-wise unless we buyout Grabo today.
 
It's great that Detroit is in on the same players. They have always been of the same mentality with free agents of not over paying. They look at it as you should be lucky to play for the red wings. I think Toronto MAY be getting back in people's good books and you are having players that would take less to play here. If the leafs are competing with other teams they will simply just offer more salary and more term. Detroit does t play that way.
 
Why would Colorado want to re-acquire Liles after just salary dumping him to us a couple of years ago?
