These Russian kids, even aside from the obvious threat of dying in a war, should be avoiding playing in Russia like the plague. Gotta be better for your development getting 20 minutes a night in the echl rather than being a healthy scratch in the KHL.

I'm not at all convinced that these kids wouldn't get more playing time if their KHL teams thought they were keeping them for more than a year or two.

I’m having a pretty hard time finding much in the way of sympathy for any of the Russian public. They have made their bed. Or at least stood idly by while Vlad did. Not like this Ukrainian colony attempt is something new by the regime.

except that it's not really the pro-russia russians that are getting rounded up. mostly the ethnic minorities.
