This is something Dubas needs to be so much better at with roster players and prospects. Fuck it, hire social media guys to just do this for us.
 
Rooting for that guy. Wouldn't be surprised if the overlooked short guy ended up being our best AHL goalie this year.

As things currently stand though, neither of those guys are signed to an NHL deal, so we’re stuck with Woll & Kallgren as our available call-ups for now.

So, we’d have to move a player or two out to sign them to ELC’s (since we’re already at the 50-contract limit). And then I’m not clear on whether or not either would be waiver-exempt, since they’re a bit older.

Update on our real goalie prospects

Hildeby (21): SHL 3gms, .894

not playing enough to know anything yet.

Akhtyamov (21): VHL 12gms, .940 (edit: updated for the shutout below)
Peksa (20): VHL 13gms, .932

VHL is ECHL caliber but nice to see both dominating. Both should be up in the KHL soon, which is AHL level, so even if they put up only ok numbers in the KHL at these ages they're already ahead of our current crop of AHL guys.
 
I'd like to see what our new goaltending coach can do with our AHL guys, especially Woll.

Petruzzelli was awful in preseason, so I'm a bit surprised that he has average stats in ECHL/AHL.
