Leafs' Prospect/Marlies Discussion Thread!

Sandin back.

On the top pair with lilly.

I think they need to give Liljegren and Sandin an extended taste this year. These guys need to be ready next season. Who knows, maybe one of them or both blow the doors off out of the gate.

No fucking doubt. Plus I want to see sandin with Keefer. I agree, wouldn't hate seeing both up. May need some injuries to see both though.

This Abramov cat may be a player.

And Kara has a nice hot streak going in the KHL. Off the top of my head those are the only two intriguing prospects outside of the obvious sandin, Lilly, Robertson, and SDA. But good to see some later picks taking some strides.

Kara's definitely a bit interesting. The only one of Hunter's Russian kids that's showing any signs of life.

17 points in 18 games in the VHL (Russian minor-pro), and now four goals & 8 points in 10 KHL games. It's not "blowing the doors off" type of production, but for a 21 year-old it's not bad.

Yeah khl is a tough league to crack so if this 10 game stretch isn't a fluke, they may have something there.

Hollowell and Duszak are both interesting. Duszak has 16 points in 15 games in the ECHL, so would probably be a pretty good AHL RHD at this point.

When some of the organization logjam gets cleared up (Sandin and Lilly are NHL quality already imo, Harper the antithesis of Leaf hockey, etc), they'll both get a good shot at graduating to the Marlies.

Korshkov may still be useful yet too. Keep in mind how much development time he lost to injuries and being dicked around.

Assuming he could keep a similar p/g (small sample obviously), he'd be forecast as a 50pt forward in the NHL (using NHLe numbers).

Might be a stretch to expect him to keep it up but that's real good for a man his age. Real good.

Mikhail Abramov looking beastly. 6th in the Q in P1/game among draft +1 players and has more goals than his next leading scoring teammate has points. His team sucks donkey balls, but he's absolutely killing it.
