Disappointing post-draft season, but 1.34PPG in his 19 year-old season isn't too bad. And SDA's essentially a "free" prospect too, since Dubas acquired the draft pick used to select him by moving down from 25th to 29th and selecting Sandin.

I was sticking to current/likely nhl'ers or elite prospects only, but yeah hes intriguing and was a great pick
 
They seem to have a good grasp on developing guys and while we wont hit on everyone I expect larger than normal developmenr success for a lot of prospects

Not many, if anyone outside of the organization could have imagined Engvall developing into a potential top 6 forward
 
Yeah, traditionally a guy like SDA doesn't look like much of a prospect. For an organization that has turned players like Engvall, Goat, Moore, Timashov, Brooks, Holl etc. into NHL players though...

Give them all the highly skilled projects you can.
 
It's too bad the Marlies aren't anywhere near as competitive right now because I think a lot of these guys were pretty well served playing for a powerhouse the past few years. They're in danger of not even making the playoffs the way it's going.

Get em a goalie.

Kask is a scrub and should be punted from the org asap

I'm not high on woll, but hes young and the eye test brigade loves him so maybe there is hope. Hutch-woll is an okayish ahl tandem and hutch as a #3 goalie in the org is also okayish

I was really curious to see him in the AHL after the ridiculous numbers he put up last year.

But the severity of that injury and the lost calendar year of development at such a crucial time seems un-good, to say the least.

At best, the guy is now a long-term project.
 
We’ll need to draft a goalie or two this summer. And find other ways to find a potential starter. There was a smallish goalie from the KHL we were reportedly interested in.
 
Marlies make a bit of a comeback but lose 4-3.

Drop to 11-15-2 plus 1 forfeit since the coaching change after going 11-2-3 to start the year.
 
Nick Robertson has two more goals and an assist tonight including a SHG. First star.

Second star SDA with two points.

I don't think that's very good. He barely has more goals than games played. There's usually at least 7-8 goals scored in a CHL game and this scrub is only getting one?
 
Yeah, the dude's only at a 92-goal pace over 82 games.

If he was any good he'd be at a 100-goal pace.
 
It looks like he'll be the only U20 OHLer in the last decade to hit 40+ goals and be over a goal per game. DeBrincat did it.
