Leafs' Prospect/Marlies Discussion Thread!

Are Hirvonen & Niemela committed to play in Europe this year?

Or are they going to be at Leaf training camp competing for jobs?

Can't play center on his junior team but is going to take over for a star center ....

He'll have to beat out Robertson who was better in the AHL than he was in the FHL, and Holmberg who was better in the SHL, and Abbruzzese and Steeves who may be comparable to Holmberg, and Anderson who was better in the AHL.

He's only 20 and undersized. He'll have to be awesome.

Considering there's only 8 guys from his draft class that have jobs fairly locked in going into this year, all in the top half of the 1st round, and given that due to his contract he won't be a guy they will play in the AHL this year (so they'll need to think he's NHL material through and through), and given that yes there's a number of good to very good prospects who are older and have a better recent track record then yes, he'll have to be awesome to win a spot.
