Les Habitants Prospects Thread

The day we drafted him, Lapointe said he was going to Blainville-Boisbriand. Then he got drafted by Acadie-Bathurst, and he opted to go to down the NCAA route instead. Went to the BCHL to keep his eligibility. Now with the change in eligibility rules for the NCAA, no reason for him to play as a back-up in a league that might not survive the next 5 years.

I thought the BCHL was a rogue league and if you played in it, you were barred from a Hockey Canada league

From what I understand, the ban applies to anyone (players, management, coaches, trainers, refs, etc.) that joined after September 30th 2024. So because The Latvijan Goalie Whose Name I Can't Be Assed To Write joined the BCHL in August, he remained eligible to play in the Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues.
