We’ll see about Oliver. He’s scoring in the SHL. Wooptidoo.I always thought that between Kapanen and Heinemann, Kap would be the better player. Maybe they're both realgud.
Point per game in SHL is pretty good. Plus I like what he looked like earlier this year. We’ll see about Oliver. He’s scoring in the SHL. Wooptidoo.
That's the beauty. We don't have all our eggs in one basket.Weirdly enough, mostly because we’re not used to it at all, we seem to have some prospects challenging for bottom 6 positions. Love it. But to put some breaks into the optimism, it takes some time for players to accept AND be efficient in a bottom 6 role. We’ll see how it goes.
I hate the Euro out clauses.Kapanen is wasting his time in the SHL. Should be in Laval.
Didn't his SHL contract say he had to return if not on the habs?Like, if Kapanen had any fucking sense, and played in Laval he'd probably be the one getting called up instead of Beck/RHP.
And come next year, we'd have a good idea if he's an everyday NHLer or not after seeing him play a year in Laval.
While Armia/Dvorak/Evans/Pezzetta are Pending UFAs and I think at least 3 of them are gone, I believe we'll be signing some free agents to fill in those roles. Not to mention Demidov stepping in immediately and I think Beck might be ahead of Kapanen in the pecking order. I don't think there's going to be a spot for him right out of camp, assuming there aren't injuries. And what happens if Roy gets his shit together and has a great summer of training, then comes to camp ready to rock?
Just dumb. The time it takes to be overtaken by other incoming prospects is almost instantaneous and it happens without warning. William Trudeau had a good camp, and one year later his NHL potential is all but gone because the new crop of D prospects passed him up.
Also true. The human side of things.Home sickness is a thing
Bobby Orr left home at 14 and grew up to become a fascist. Also true. The human side of things.
I turned down work outside of Canada when I was 21 as well.
I don't know the details of that, whether it was due to his SEL contract or a clauses added to his own contract... but in both cases, those are contracts he signed voluntarily.Didn't his SHL contract say he had to return if not on the habs?
Sure. Very hard to fault him for signing a pro hockey contractI don't know the details of that, whether it was due to his SEL contract or a clauses added to his own contract... but in both cases, those are contracts he signed voluntarily.
