For those interested, Simon Boisvert had an interview this AM in French. There isn't anyone in the scouting community whose opinion I take more seriously than his:
A good chunk of the interview was about Caufield.
Cole Caufield continue de bien faire avec les Badgers du Wisconsin, pourrait-il venir aider le CH ou continuer de se développer avec Joël Bouchard au Rocket?

Points brought up:
-They talked about a Cole Caufield comparable and because there are so few players of his stature in the NHL, the easy comparable is Alex Debrincat, but they don't play the same game.
-Says to keep reasonable expectations on him. Not to expect him to be an offensive dynamo from the day he gets here.
-Doesn't think Caufield should be in the NHL this year; he should go straight to Laval and if he dominates there, give him a call-up to play some games in the NHL with focus on the powerplay. Mentions how there have been a few players, including Alex Turcotte, who went from the NCAA to pro this year & aren't lighting the world on fire.
-Asked his thoughts on Romanov, one of the youngest players in the league, thinks there's been a lot of adaptations for him such as ice surface, that he hasn't been surrounded well (used to example of Hughes playing with Tanev when he got to the NHL while Romanov was mostly with Kulak/Mete), thinks he should have been in Laval, his opinion hasn't changed since the beginning of the year & he believes he's a good top-4 d-man but not a top-2 and doesn't think he's got a ton of offensive upside. Thinks the expectations with him weren't reasonable.
-Doesn't have any belief in Norlinder, doesn't think he'll ever play in the NHL. Says you'll be very disappointed if you think so.
