Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Certainly has a great opportunity tonight playing on the 1st line, but looks like he's squeezing the stick so far .

Corey Pronman released his midseason update of the under-23 NHL player rankings for the 2022-23 season.

Eight Habs were ranked on the 154-player list:

9. Cole Caufield
16. Juraj Slafkovsky
38. Kirby Dach
39. Kaiden Guhle
79. Justin Barron
120. Joshua Roy
126. Owen Beck
150. Sean Farrell

Lane Hutson and Filip Mesar were on the summer list but were left off this one.

Pronman also still won't rank Logan Mailloux, although he says "Mailloux has played very well in the OHL this season and has looked like a pro prospect who, on pure ability, would warrant serious consideration for a top prospect list like this one."

Why would hutson fall out of the list?

Why would hutson fall out of the list?

the list is willy nilly after the top 70 or so.....somebody asked Pronman about Hutson, and he replied that now he cares about his small frame....maybe he won't 3 months from now...STAY TUNED!!!!!

McGuire says he should leave college after this season because he plays a pro style game.
No… he said Farrell has nothing more to prove at NCAA but Hutson only needs 1-more year to focus on getting bigger and stronger, “he’s not physically ready for next NHL season.”

Sees Farrell being a left handed version of Caufield but not as prolific a scorer, and Hutson being in the Adam Fox elite PP QB mold with a 10-year NHL career

Can listen to entire segment - Hutson / Farrell take starts at 10:45

Hutson needs to get to 175 pounds before he plays a pro game

Farrell will need 1-2 years in Laval
