My takeaway w Athletic article, which I think the authors did an excellent job with:

IF as Krusty speculated re: Hage feeling scorned about name in trade rumors:

Hage signed is easier to trade… maybe he's waiting until the late June trade window is closed before signing….

well if Max is whispering in his ears I get why Hage is indecisive in signing, Max bounced up and down from the Bulldogs and Habs for 3 seasons.

Max told management to leave him in AHL until they are ready to keep him in NHL....if i remember correctly, he was fed up and told them he wants to stay in AHL until they made up their mind

I think the reason why hockey is full of brothers and sons of former players is you need a lot of fucking money to get your kids thru the ranks… a lot of families are simply shut out which creates a less diverse pool of players
