Necas Watch Thread...SIGNED

You'll be allowed back tomorrow but your conduct is unacceptable. So insecure

Let’s get back to the game…you both get a two, a five, a ten and a game…I will let George Paros and his fine staff handle the rest…🤣

How does pointing out "All Habs All The Time" make him a xenophobe? He didn't say "citizens of x country are not allowed in this here y country because x isn't sending their best people." *That* would make him a xenophobe and Fayettenamcanesfan clearly did not say that to you.

Opposing opinions for other fans is a form of xenophobia. Live in a bubble. Don't care.

Since I apparently have to teach English

I liked Necas well enough, though he seems to play 1 on 5 too often IMO. Teams get blinded this time of year and might not spend the smartest.

I suspect tomorrow will be quite a flurry of activity with Necas right in the middle of it. I had my doubts on Guentzel wanting to stick around here. Tomorrow should be wild & fun to see who Eric Tulsky picks up, who else goes, & how much different the team is for next season.

Remember that Jeff Skinner could likely be had for a song....though that song is something like Baby Shark, that continues to haunt your memory in a bad way.

How so? He works for Columbus and should be fired if he gave up #4 for Necas.

Don't believe the hype. Good player but please.
Look ... dumber crap has happened, and we all know it. It's not like anyone on this board was calling that a sure thing or anything. It was being discussed elsewhere so it was discussed here. I don't feel we need any lectures on player value, honestly. This is one of the saner corners of the internet when it comes to that.

BTW ... the watch is still on. Carolina gave Necas a qualifying offer yesterday and he'll almost certainly file for arbitration. This is far from over.

Suck it up, keep Necas, hell, let em play center and tell Rod to quit being so stubborn, you need someone to play offense on your top two lines...

Nah. I think his selfish BS is part of the issue here. They should have sucked it up and moved him last year when he was coming off of a big season. Instead they let it fester and he was pretty terrible last season. Move on from problem children and find guys who will buy in. If you're all-in with Brind'Amour, that's the only play anyway. Roddy ain't changing.

Apparently Necas was interviewed by a Czech newspaper maybe just a few days ago about this contract situation here in Raleigh. His was response is that is now up to the arbritator and he's cool with that. He'll probably be awarded less than what he feels he's worth, but the team will probably have to pay more than what they feels he's worth and he's cool with all of that. He also knows that he's going to get dinged by the team on things that they feel he is no good at, but he also knows that's the arbritation way. Also, he indicated that he'll sign the contract and go from there.

Not surprising, nor is it unreasonable from his perspective. He'll want to earn a bigger paycheck and if that makes him more productive it's a win-win for everyone.
