Fronted the entire cost of the bridge, and instead of getting all of the toll revenue until we’re made whole, we’re dumping 50% of it into an amorphous American slush fund. And the Maroun family seems to have a veto over the toll rates we can charge.

Meh. Modest cost to pay. Economic ramifications are enormous.
