yeah the transformation from what should purely be a health crisis into a political football has not done anybody any favours.

Also threatened to arrest counterprotestors that tried to block the convoy from exiting one of their “logistics HQs” outside the downtown core.

It’s getting close to moving beyond appeasement to actively abetting the anti-democratic demonstrators. Chilling.

The protests in Montreal and Toronto just look like your run of the mill protest to me, almost entirely on foot. Totally fine.

Weirdest part about all this is so many people who willingly went to Ottawa in winter and stayed weeks past they were invited for. First time in history for everything, right?

Well, there is precedence for a good size city to disband it police service and bring in the RCMP. It would take a few years to transition but maybe it shouldn’t be totally off the table.

I completely agree but the Ottawa Police have shown to be either incompetent or unwilling to stop this.

Doug Ford will not do anything either.
