If only there were signs.

If only we could have foreseen – somehow – that the climate in Canada would become so toxic toward Jews that now, in August of 2024, more than 100 Jewish institutions would receive a bomb threat, warning that the buildings’ occupants “will all end up in a pool of blood.”

“None of you deserve to keep living,” it read.

How did we get here?

If only there were signs. Like, say, weekly protests that regularly included antisemitic chants about sending Jews back to Europe or celebrations of terrorist groups.

If only there was a way to know that the most extreme rhetoric expressed by participants – including those who shouted “Long live October 7″ and “October 7 is proof that we are almost free” – were not simply errant opinions.

The whole thing is a clown show...2nd tier regional CBC reporter is mad that she wasn't able to push a vaccine injury/lockdowns are bad narrative with her articles, so is still crying about it in 2024 despite all of the evidence that exists now about how few severe vaccine side effects existed, and how many lives the vaccine saved. It takes a special brand of stupid to look at even just the diffence in long covid impacts between the vaccinated and non vaccinated but still hold that position. Nevermind the maga fuckwit threatening us with a good time in response.

I get being skeptical while everything is going on re: vaccines and lockdowns. But when we're years after it and the impacts of it all are incredible well studied, either join us in a shared, fact based reality or fuck off.
 
The CPC has been praying for the day they get to remake the country, don't forget that shit.

This is a pretty blunt prelude to how he's going to message what needs changing in his eyes
 
Elected politician is the only job he’s ever had, and his entire political career is built on his abilities as an unpleasant, smarmy, serial-lying shithead attack dog for the fringes of his political movement.

So the fact that he hasn’t tried to pivot from that to being more “Prime Ministerial” tells me that either he’s totally incapable of that, or he’s decided that leaning into it is the best possible strategy for him.
