PP getting his wish for an early election and winning. Also, imo, a big (and probably temporary) rebounding in his poll numbers. Finally got the bump from standing up to Donnie that I'm sure he was hoping for.

likely a rogue poll as every other poll still has it 20+ for Pierre

Apparently Ekos polled more in a group likely to vote for Trudeau's party as it overpolled college educated white city dwellers.

It could also be like the Turner polls in 1984 when he decided to call an election he didn't have to call and got bent over badly

FWIW, my Conservative (but thankfully non-Trumper) dad who’s been a big fan of Dougie so far is pissed that he’s calling a snap election two years early in a moment of national crisis for transparently self-serving reasons.

Would be cool if Doug’s massively miscalculated here.

it's very possible it will backfire...the best strategies only reveal themselves later. this is like a guy at the poker table who everyone knows is bluffing
