call one next time you are arrested
Not having the "privilege" of being arrested for anything, how does court system work in BC? (eg., are the court appointed lawyers actually 'public attorney's who work full-time for the jurisdiction (or are they like that in SOME states in the US where the state contracts out a private attorney who may be of dubious ability if they don't pay them much).

In general in BC, no court appointed if an adult. If poor might get legal aid. There is duty counsel but generally just for summary advice

Lol. If an attempted coup didn't end Trump's aspirations, an act of God won't end Newsome's
your problem is you think Joe Public cares about stuff like coups and democracy.

For the most part, Joe Public doesn't care about shit like that. He cares about his house burning, gas prices, house prices etc. Doesn't matter no politician can solve those problems but he will vote for those who say he/she will, not the one calls the other a fascist.

Aww, poor Pat King is having trouble sleeping. Enjoy prison, you fucking traitor.

Real rich coming from a guy who orchestrated a “protest” where truck horns and fireworks were being blasted at all hours of the night in residential neighbourhoods for weeks on end.

And when said residents pleaded for that to stop, he responded with “#HonkHonk” hashtags and videos where he was giggling like a school girl over the hell those residents were being put through.

They should throw this asshole into a soundproofed cell with high-powered surround sound speakers that randomly blast the sound of truck horns 24 hours a day and seven days a week. And see how well he sleeps then.

Doug Ford making it pretty clear yesterday that he intends to call a snap election ASAP, even though he’s got a couple of years left in his current term.

Guess he’s pretty concerned about getting out ahead of a potential Poilievre victory federally. And probably wants to ride the PR high his opposition to Trump is giving him.

It's doesn't appear to be helping him though. He's lost about 8 points worth of his lead since the start of December. He's right to try to call an election now though, all of this right wing lunacy in the world is probably going to grind at least a few more percentage points of support off of him. It's not like he's the only politician in Ontario who would be willing to push back against US tariffs.
