Always remember kids, we need America more than they need us, allegedly.

South Koreans trying to rebound sex the hell out of us when the angry break up text messages aren't even cold yet.

As someone that wants us to immediately rip up all of our military procurement contracts with the US, including the F-35 deal, for reasons of urgent national security—this is exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear.

Start getting replacement deals for the American ones in the pipeline ASAP with more reliable democratic allies in Asia & Europe.

didn't Carney say he's gonna call an election on day one?

As far as I’m aware or can find with a quick Google search, it doesn’t look like he’s made any specific commitment with regards to when he’ll call an election.

Of course, he does legally have to call one no later than October. And you’d think he’d do it sooner than later to attempt to capitalize on his momentum, get a mandate from voters and get himself a seat in Parliament.

Day One? Doubt it. JT will decide, probably today, when he's stepping down officially. It may be later this week. Once he decides he has to go to Rideau Hall and formally resign to the GG. Then Carney takes over and needs to name a Cabinet. Then he needs to figure out what riding he's going to be parachute into and THEN he can call an election.

It's really a question of how long it takes to arrange all the various ducks into a row. I expect us to be going to the polls in late April or early May. The last thing Carney wants to do is waste the honeymoon period and the resulting popularity bump by letting things linger. He also doesn't want to give Pee-Pee and the Cons more time to pivot from Fuck Trudeau and carbon taxes to whatever they plan to rage farm about him.

I mean, it's not even day 1 yet... Maybe can wait until he actually becomes PM in a few days when they actually start the transition.
