yah was gonna say, think people 'like' the cons cause they aren't the Libs. although the Libs did steal a bunch of policy ideas from the cons, so they did have some popular ideas.

Stealing good ideas is good politics and good public policy. The best Trudeau era liberal ideas were stolen from the NDP. I've got no qualms with some of Carney's better political optics getting lifted from Pierre.

We are also secure in the knowledge that a good Con idea, stolen by the Liberals, might actually get done. Any "good" Conservative policy would probably just be an empty promise designed to win votes and would be either be immediately forgotten or corrupted into a tax cut for corporations if the CPC won the election.

I noticed that when he was specifically referring to the military, he said he would instill a "warrior" culture rather than a woke one. That's pretty much the exact thing that both Pete Hesgeth and Markwayne Mullin said a couple of days ago.

We're starting to pass the point that any sort of shift is going to be too late. Polling being hilariously wrong, like 7-8 points wrong is quickly becoming Pierre's only hope.

I think it's temporary tbh. Pierre losing probably makes the CPC cracking in half a 50/50 and unless Carney delivers in a big, nation changing way, I expect a lot of this liberal support to migrate back to NDP and BQ.
Now, I might be drinking the kool aid here, but if anyone has a chance at a big, fuck you nation changing swing here, it's Carney so us actually meeting the moment can't be ruled out and if we do, Liberal support probably runs deep for another 10 years.
