They've done a bunch of trade missions this year to deepen ties, but when done properly trade deals take time. A bunch of people from the ministry or trade were at the most recent ASEAN meeting as well, apparently to push other trade deals forward.

Glad is he moving ahead with this stuff. It's the main reason I wanted him elected
 
The Indonesia CEPA was 100% negotiated under the Trudeau government.

ASEAN negotiations have been going on for a few years already.

But yeah, they’re prioritizing new trade deals. These things just take time.
