Anyone with a TLDR summary of what is happening in Alberta and the teachers union? Realistic possibility the general unions will shut the province down with a strike?

School is back in session today as teachers have been forced back to work by the fascist Premier. There have been murmurs of a "general" strike but I'll believe it when I see it. The inbreds and rednecks dont care what Smith does as long as it's aimed at people they dislike.

School started back up today.

I'm guessing the ATA (union) takes the govt to court. But I don't see a general strike.

What happened is that teachers went on strike for 3 weeks I think. Then the govt ordered them back and forced a new contract on them using the notwithstanding clause to take away charter rights.

Teachers were expecting to be ordered back but with an arbitrator settling things.
