That’s definitely possible if Carney does well in the debates and prevents a smallish but crucial (in FPP system) vote switch that I assume that will occur.
The only way it doesn't go that way is if somehow Trump doesn't say or do something that rightly causes Canadian voters to go "Holy shit, we can't allow that here!" I think chances are high that he will trigger us somehow and that will sink Poilievre.
 
I still don't see any reason to doubt the aggregate polling. The Liberal vote seeming "soft" above the usual 36-37% of Liberal support because it's NDP voters who know the assignment and aren't just voting strategically, they're polling strategically this time around. If you're a NDP voter these days, you're proud that a few NDP policies actually got implemented by Trudeau (national dental specifically). A vote for Carney preserves those and probably leads to expansion of them.
