Awesome! His retakes are all so good... Bittersweet Symphony was fantastic.

I hadn't heard of him until about a year and a half ago, shortly after "Hi Ren" came out. All the reactors were reacting to it and finally I saw Justin Hawkins did a reaction and the thumbnail said "Fuckin Hell, This is Mind-blowing" so I checked it out and he was right. Then I went down the rabbit hole and realized that all of his stuff is fantastic.
The latest video he put out, his expression of his discontent over the "stolen beat" controversy with Kujo, entitled "Kujo Beat Down"? Phew

I'm not a huge Hip fan.

When I first heard Up To Here I was very impressed, everything after was sort of okay with a few gems IMO.

Up To Here is one of the best records ever made.

Three new songs that debuted today that I heard on my favorite radio station/streaming site. The first is a bonus track off of Johnny Marr's "Spirit Power: The Best of Johnny Marr". It's called "The Answer" (too bad a Smiths reunion remains the most unlikely band reunion, now that Oasis has removed itself from that list by announcing their surprise return).

And finally, U2 is issuing a "shadow album" that is primarily a series of unreleased tracks from the 2004 "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" sessions. The new album is entitled "How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb". HDAB has been remixed and will be released with the "shadow album".

The "new" single is entitled (ironically, given the above-mentioned release by The Cure) "Picture of You (X + W)"
Edit - not sure how I missed it the first two times I heard the song but "X + W" stands for "Xanax and Wine".:ROFLMAO:

Man... with your love of country/blues... I strongly suggest that you give Road Apples another chance. It's very raw and bluesy. Still my favorite album.

Start with Fight.

Man, I owe you big time.

I was messing around in the studio tonight trying to come up with something but nothing was happening so I said piss on it, I'm gonna listen to something instead.

Stepped outside for a healthy toke or two first, and while that was occuring, I thought of what you said about Road Apples.

Went back in and hunted it up on YouTube.

Man, that's a great record! I don't remember it being that good when I heard it before. I'm going to check out their other albums again too to see what I may have missed previously.

Thanks man, have a couple on me.

That's awesome. I'm really happy that you enjoyed it. All of their albums are great imo... I'd definitely recommend getting to love each album in chronological order. They switch it up with each album. There's not really a massive shift between any two albums, but if you were to jump from Road Apples to World Container you'd be like "are there the same guys??"

So you already said that you love Up To Here, and now you're getting to know Road Apples. Next up, Fully Completely... which is their first straight ahead rock album with less bluesiness.
