Isnt it a little early to be giving up on Klingcabe? there is quite a sunk cost in both of them

you also need to consider how many puck-movers vs. defenders you have on your roster tooIts the only way to look at that question.
We have always been suffocating due to lack of offense and puck movement from the blueline. Klingberg fills that need.
Are we better off with someone who is better defensively but mostly useless offensively, like we've always kinda had? I don't think we are. The offensive dman serves a purpose, but he needs to be paired with a real defensive dman. Like, Klingberg and Brodie sounds like something I'd roll with, and let Rielly and Lilly play together. McCabe goes to the third pair with Gio, and frankly should platoon with Timmins when he gets back (which will never happen) or gets shipped out of town.
I agree, but it's not an ideal situation, and we need to sort of play the cards we're dealt.Only problem with Rielly-Lilly and Kling-Brodie is that someone needs to play the heavies. Rielly-Brodie can do it at a relatively high level
There can be something in between klingberg and schenn. Doesn't have to be one or the other! We have always been suffocating due to lack of offense and puck movement from the blueline. Klingberg fills that need.
