No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

4 of the 6 are Tree's guys as well. 3 of whom are making actual money.

~8.6MM vs ~ 2.9MM
Reaves is the cause for Gregor and Kampf at least. I think those 2 are probably fine players otherwise. Klingberg has been bad but so has Kyle's guy McCabe. I still think they should think about unloading that Kling contract to create cap space for a better d.

On the other hand Bertuzzi leads the roster in xgf%. He's been the only Tre addition I've really liked and he really came on last night.

Wasn't a pro dubas post... more just pointing out that the new guy took his shot with these guys. As has been pointed out here many times we are a high event team and the coaches have to create the D system that fits.

Klingberg missed most of training camp so I'm sure they are feeding him minutes to get him up to speed.

Guys looks great with the puck on his stick, but man does he ever look lost in his own zone. Like he forgets which side of the ice is his.

I think Klingy actually fits, even if he's bad defensively. He brings really good puck moving, and as I said before, once the puck is on his stick, he's fine defensively too. He's just terrible positionally and doesn't play with any physicality.

It's McCabe that does nothing well who has to go. Unfortunately it's only a $2M savings, but you gotta get rid of the shit player who does nothing at $2M than the player who does some pretty good stuff at $4M.

I don't know what you saw in Bertuzzi last night. He needs to be much better.

Isnt it a little early to be giving up on Klingcabe? there is quite a sunk cost in both of them
Klingberg has been poop for years so it's far larger than a 3 game sample for me. McCabe should be better than this, yeah. He'll be better away from klingberg I'm sure.

When Timmins is healthy is there something to be said for dressing 7D, and using Klingberg in the M.A. Bergeron fashion of only PP and o-zone starts and maybe sit the clown/gregor?

yeah Klingberg has had a long history of suckitude and I've been sour on McCabe since last season.

so sure, small sample for Klingcabe, but each of them have decent sized samples on their own that support what my eyes and the numbers are currently telling us.
