yeah for as poopy as he was in the preseason (and it was super poopy), he has been really solid in the regular season. still handles the puck like a bit of a grenade, but otherwise really solid.
this also jibes with the eye testNow the bad news
Of the 565 skaters who have played at least 30 games this season, Benoit ranks dead last in points per 60 at five-on-five (0.12). Not only is he at the bottom of the leaderboard he’s in a league of his own. Oskar Steen is 564th on the list and his 0.22 mark is 83.3 percent better than Benoit’s.
Some of the defenceman’s lack of offensive output can be chalked up to bad luck as he has an on-ice shooting percentage of 5.74 percent at five-on-five, but he also doesn’t do much to help put the put in the net.
Risto appears to be crushing the nerdies in actual usage this year though. He's paired with Sanheim, but the nerdies suggest that Risto has the upside of the schwartz this year.
Even last year, his nerdies were non offensive while getting the heavies.
don't forget Benoit and LagessonSo...
Treliving's d targets since being GM of the Leafs have been Dumba, Klingberg and now Ristolainen? Sweet I have so much confidence in the Leafs management.
Benoit has been phenomenal. His best signing by far.don't forget Benoit and Lagesson
when a league min, bottom pair d-man is the guy's best signing, well, that's telling.Benoit has been phenomenal. His best signing by far.
It also doesnt appear to be at all close.when a league min, bottom pair d-man is the guy's best signing, well, that's telling.
Domi has been good doing what Domi is good at. Sheldon is gonna Sheldon though
