No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Really, any one of our goalies has a back-story with good cinematic potential if they managed to get hot come playoff time and go on a run.



Murray - Former multiple champion returning from a season-long & seemingly career-ending injury, as well as multiple seasons of poor play.

Woll - Classic tale of a young goalie going on a Cinderella run in their first full season.

Samsonov - Former hot-shot 1st round pick who got cut loose by his original team, got the yips with his new team and then was waived & passed on by the entire league earlier in the season before turning his game back around.

Jones - Former starting goalie & Cup finalist who played his way out of the league & also cleared waivers this season before rebounding when injuries thrust him back into the spotlight.
 
It would be great if Murray goes on a heater during the playoffs! That would ensure that the league will make changes to the LTIR playoff formula. This way TB and Vegas can't get away with "hiding" players for the playoffs!

Genius, and a win/win for everyone!

According to CapFriendly, they only have $1.35M in available LTIR space. So, not without other moves, no.

Putting Marner on LTIR if he’s not coming back anytime soon would obviously clear enough space.
 
It needs to be a solid week off IMHO.

The wife's MS diagnosis and his father passing is ALOT to take. Go to the SPA with your wife, go to Mexico. Watch a few games from above and see the game from up there for a bit.

They had this story on him and his wife at the beginning of the season or during the off season right after his dad died. I thought she was recently diagnosed.

This is why I wanted him to be traded to Calgary. She is a calgary girl and all her family is there. I thought it would be good for his and her mental health if he went to the Flames. They could then have easily resigned him and probably for cheap so she could stay home

probably not, but it's going to be 13ish. I don't see how it's going to be less. Particularly if this same management group is still in charge at that point...which would be good news, because it will have meant the Leafs have had some measurable playoff success.
