Not sure i care much about the lines. Probably need to keep changing them around tbh.

But this top 9 has 8 locks in it at least. Hopefully last game gets robby's head out of his ass but it was probably just buffalo fucking sucking.

Question is whether robby can earn a top 9 spot, or if one of the marlies can legit beat him out. Or else we make a trade. Go robby go for now tho.

The 4th line seems fine regardless of who of lorentz/kampf/dewar/holmberg/reaves is on it and i don't think it would add much to have a robby or minten on that line. You'd think reaves clearly should sit of course, but this team loves him and the silver lining is that if reaves is in the lineup then the 4th line never gets overplayed.

I think he’s fine - unless he got hurt again, he came out of a game but played since.

Yeah, after looking further into it, what happened on Saturday is that Akhtyamov played the first 22 minutes or so and got shelled for 5 goals on 15 shots before getting yanked.

Murray then came in and shut the door for the final 40 minutes as the Marlies came back to win the game 6-5 in OT.

So in theory, he should be healthy.
 
Ok calling it. Woll gets hurt in game 6, Murray takes over. Cup with the worst xgf% of any cup winner ever.

Can't rightly be upset with any of the current lineup choices tbh. The guys in the red are sitting, as are most of the guys in the orange and light orange.

The worst choice right now is obviously Reaves, which is clearly a decision based on feels only. Team didn't help any with that decision with their laughable "effort" against the shitty slumping Wings when coach finally sat Reaves.

After that the least deserving choice is probably Nicky, but we all like that choice anyways, because an offensive explosion from that line would be a massive boost, even if Nicky hasn't actually earned looks right now - not only is he deep in the orange, but he's there despite not facing tough usage like most of the other orange/red guys have.

The one guy outside the lineup who has some excuse in terms of harsh usage would be Benoit - but i dunno that harsh usage is enough to excuse those kinds of numbers.

boggles my mind that they think there's actually some benefit to BSing like this, eroding trust with and annoying the fanbase, and making their own lives more difficult, instead of just being straight about the injury situations.

so maybe all the reports this offseason about his knee being cooked were... true.
